As a child, my best friends were blank sheets of paper and colored pencils. From a very young age, I preferred the company of characters I would make up and write stories that involved them. Into my preteen years, I had notebooks flooding with tall tales and doodles that would eventually inspire me to take my art and storytelling skills into the digital world. For a short time, I began dabbling in the animation community online and built a fan base around a world of characters I had created. And as I entered the very-much adult world of college, I honed my two greatest loves: illustration and storytelling. With my childhood being such a great influence, I enjoy juxtaposing nostalgia with the intricacies and complications of adulthood, resulting in work that strikes as a balance between whimsical and melancholic.
